These small works were made during a period of when I lived in Mexico, small enough to fit into a suitcase. They reference hidden and obtuse pathways, like seeping underground rivers that already exist with their own geometry but whose patterns remain hidden at the surface.  Flowing at various levels, they can be perceived where cultural history bubbles up unconsciously into the present and where inherited memories influence individual choices and life paths. The pedestrian pace of day-to-day existence is where these rivers run, at levels that are cellular and unconscious.
