Artist statement
Mixed media and encaustic on wooden panels. Various sizes
A mist that clings to the hill tops. Earth, sky, trees and leaves - a geography that shifts inward. Our skins, porous as the soil, open to let the trees drip through us, washing off the dust, returning us to earth.

These works continue my exploration of the shifting self and the duality of the seemingly indomitable presence of humans reshaping natural spaces - and the fact that nature always wins. We are of it. we are part of it, even if our shifting notion of self argues otherwise.
